I will blame technology on the length of time since last post. My “smart phone” is driving me crazy. That is not to long of a drive. Anyway…
Graybeard is still here. It is around 12:30ish and 50 something degrees at the beginning of the hike. The parking lot is packed and I had to sqeeze into the rhododendron down the road to park. The mountain is still recovering from the last snow storm. At the top of the fourth switch back ice and snow are still around. This must be the day of the dog. Saw 15 dogs, 49 people and 9 children.
The creek is flowing quickly from the snow melt. There is something soothing about that – Spring is right around the corner?
Most of the hike up was sunny and warm. The clouds moved in for the summit. I got back down around 4ish, the temp was in the low 60’s, the legs are burning a little in the good way. The parking lot is still packed and people are still venturing into wilderness. Stopped by Take A Hike Outfitters on the way home, and here is Graybeard from our parking lot. Oh, and I almost forgot, stopped at The Merry Wine Market after that.
